June General Meeting
We had guest speakers from the Crest team at our meeting this month. The Crest team is based at Frankston Police station and is primarily a way for local Police to build rapport with the Community.
A higher Police presence in Frankston North has made local crime more detectable.
We also learnt of a new graffiti task force set up at Carrum Downs Police station. They are working with Council to reduce graffiti in the area.
Discussion also took place about the dumping of household rubbish in Monterey Community park. Council are aware of this problem and are working on catching the people responsible.
Council have applied for funding to put security cameras at both sets of shops in Frankston North.
Speed humps are also being looked at and the possibility of replacing the old ones with more efficient ones.
Council is looking at more seating for the area.
We are also looking at the ongoing issue of overgrown vegetation.
Our next meeting will be on the 28th of July at 3pm. All our meetings are held at The Baptist Church on the corner of Monterey and Moreton. Enter through the car park. All local residents welcome.
